Dr. Lauren Alderson is the interim chief medical information officer of OCHIN. She earned her medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland Oregon. She completed her family medicine residency as a uniformed naval officer at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California. While at OCHIN, she has led a dedicated Public Health Emergency team focused on COVID and Mpox build and workflow. She also serves on Epic’s gynecology steering board, driving the prioritization of content and development within Epic’s EHR.
As a physician informaticist, Lauren has a passion for clinical decision support, artificial intelligence, health care gaps, clinician burden, and streamlining the EHR.
