PORTLAND, ORE. (July 9, 2024) — Nine ambulatory community health care organizations and a rural hospital went live with OCHIN Epic in the second quarter of 2024. The electronic health record (EHR) platform offered by OCHIN helps providers in rural and medically underserved communities expand the circle of care through integrated and state-of-the-art tools, insights, and expertise.
In June, the OCHIN network welcomed Gritman Medical Center, its second rural hospital in Idaho—a state where nearly a quarter of rural hospitals are at risk of closing due to ongoing financial challenges. Their go-live marks the first anniversary of OCHIN’s expansion into acute care last June to help address persistent gaps in rural health care access and delivery. OCHIN now serves eight rural hospitals in seven states with more onboarding nationwide.
“We’re really fortunate that we found OCHIN when we did,” said Danielle Breed, administrative chief of staff at Gritman Medical Center. “The whole team jumps on to address things … I just really appreciate that support and partnership.”
