Willie C. White, III, chief executive officer of David Raines Community Health Centers (DRCHC) and a native of Jacksonville, Florida, has over 47 years of experience in the health care industry, spanning both for-profit and nonprofit organizations. He has served as president and chief executive officer of Northwest Family Hospital in Gary, Indiana; chief executive officer and managing director of Belmont Community Hospital in Chicago, Illinois; assistant to the president of Santa Fe Healthcare in Gainesville, Florida; and assistant administrator of Alachua General Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. Willie has also consulted for private health care companies and the Federal Bureau of Primary Health Care on administration, governance, finance, and health center operations. He has presented on various health care topics at the local, state, and national levels.
Willie has a demonstrated history of commitment to the health center movement, improving access to care, and fostering community involvement. As a result, he has been selected to serve in various leadership capacities at the national, regional, state, and local levels.
Willie received a Master of Public Health in health administration and planning from the University of Tennessee and a Bachelor of Science in health education from Tennessee State University. He is also a graduate of the Johnson & Johnson Health Care Executive program at the Anderson Graduate School of Management, University of California, Los Angeles, and the Executive Development program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
