Summer Kirby

Summer Kirby serves as the chief executive officer of Compass Community Health (CCH) in Portsmouth, Ohio. Before becoming the chief financial officer at CCH, she held executive-level positions in consumer and commercial banking for over 15 years, where she was responsible for financial analysis, strategic planning, and risk management.

Summer was born and raised in Portsmouth, Ohio, and attended The Ohio State University in Columbus, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in communications. She later obtained her MBA from the University of Phoenix. Since returning to Scioto County, Summer has been actively involved in the community.

Summer is the chair elect for Ohio’s Primary Care Association and the Ohio Association of Community Health Center (OACHC), where she also chairs the Health Center Controlled Network (HCCN). She is a member of the board of directors for an Accountable Care Organization (ACO), a Clinically Integrated Network (CIN), OCHIN, and Desco Federal Credit Union.
