James Maldonado, JD

James Maldonado is the corporate counsel and chief administration officer of OCHIN and currently oversees the legal and contracting groups. His day-to-day duties include providing legal advice and risk management in all areas of the organization, including the OCHIN board of directors and senior leadership, with particular focus on data privacy and compliance with all applicable state and federal laws.  

Previously at OCHIN, James managed people and culture, procurement, OCHIN Broadband Network Services, administrative services, and OCHIN billing services. Prior to OCHIN, James was the lead United States counsel for a global medical device company and deputy chief operating officer for the world’s largest wind turbine manufacturer. James holds a Bachelor of Science from Portland State University and Juris Doctorate from Willamette University College of Law.
