As 2025 comes to a close, OCHIN is proud to reflect on the progress our network achieved this year.
While celebrating our 25th anniversary, we reached new interoperability milestones, advanced responsible AI adoption and expanded our network, which now supports more than 2,100 health care delivery sites spanning ambulatory, acute and specialty care settings and serving over 7.8 million people nationwide.
Together with our OCHIN Epic members, Health Center Controlled Network (HCCN) participating health centers, research partners and others, we drove innovation in community health care delivery by equipping members with advanced tools, expert guidance and collaborative opportunities that improve efficiency, enhance patient care and strengthen organizational sustainability.
As we look ahead to continued progress and collaboration in 2026, here’s a snapshot of this year’s milestones made possible through the power of the OCHIN network:
We celebrated 25 years of collective impact with our members.
At OCHIN’s Learning Forum, an annual event for members to connect and learn together, we kicked off celebrations marking a quarter century of collaboration and innovation with our nationwide network.
We received top Epic honors for the eighth consecutive year.
OCHIN achieved Epic Gold Stars Level 10 for configuration and Level 6 for adoption. These achievements place OCHIN in the top 5% of Epic customers and underscore our commitment to providing best-in-class electronic health record solutions that help automate and innovate care delivery.
We launched our fifth HCCN funding cycle to support digital health adoption.
OCHIN’s HCCN entered its fifth phase of funding from the Health Resources and Services Administration, ensuring ongoing consultative support for health centers nationwide to take full advantage of transformative technologies. This year, the insights and consultation provided by our HCCN helped more than 100 health centers on six different EHR systems identify and deploy responsible AI tools and solutions, deliver value-based care, and equip staff with extensive training and technical assistance.
We provided expert guidance to improve hypertension care.
OCHIN’s integrated knowledge solutions are helping transform care outcomes nationwide, including hypertension management. Through OCHIN Epic tools, clinical research and consultative partnerships, we helped members unlock the power of the OCHIN collaborative to advance hypertension care in rural and lower-resourced communities.
We were recognized as one of the best nonprofits to work for.
OCHIN was named one of the top nonprofits to work for in the U.S. by The NonProfit Times. The designation, which OCHIN has earned three times, places us among 50 organizations recognized for championing a well-rounded work environment, according to employee surveys.
Looking ahead
We are proud of the work our members accomplished this year to improve the health and well-being of communities nationwide. Together, we will build on this year’s progress by continuing to strengthen operational and financial wellness, improve clinician well-being and enhance clinical quality. Thank you for being a part of our journey toward better health for all.
