Anna Steeves-Reece, PhD, MPH, MA is a qualitative and mixed methods health researcher with a background in public health, medical anthropology, and Latin American studies. Her work broadly focuses on health equity, patient-centered care, and community-engaged research. Anna’s past research projects have explored a wide range of topics, including the role of community health workers in ameliorating perinatal mental health in rural Nicaragua; equity implications regarding a paid family leave policy in Oregon; and how to better integrate patients’ perspectives and recommendations into healthcare-based social needs screening and referral interventions. Her work has been funded by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
