As a practicing family physician, dually certified in Family Medicine and Preventive Medicine, Dr. Hatch combines individual clinical care across the lifecycle with population and system-level innovations to improve the delivery of health care. As a physician, she practices full spectrum Family Medicine including pediatric care and obstetric care and has a deep first-hand understanding of the strengths and challenges of the healthcare system across inpatient and outpatient settings. As a researcher, she focuses on developing and assessing healthcare interventions at multiple levels – from individual clinic improvement projects to national-level dissemination and implementation projects. Her research focuses on preventive health outcomes among vulnerable populations, particularly women and children. She has directed OCHIN's research group in Reproductive and Family Health, and serves as an affiliate investigator with OCHIN. She is also a core investigator with the Oregon Rural Practice-based research Network.
