John Saultz, MD is a professor and former chairman for the Department of Family Medicine at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon. He was the Family Practice Residency Director at OHSU and has also served as Director of Oregon’s statewide Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Program, and as Assistant Vice President of OHSU for Regional Education and Outreach.
John also served as President of the Association of Family Practice Residency Directors and the Oregon Academy of Family Physicians. From 2003 to 2004, he was named a Bishop/American Council on Education fellow. More recently, John was named Family Physician of 2013 by the Oregon Academy of Family Physicians, recognizing his compassionate, comprehensive work in family medicine and his involvement in community affairs. John served as OCHIN’s Board Chair from 2007 to 2010.
