A driving force for health equity

OCHIN Member Santa Cruz County Featured in Upcoming HITEQ Opioids Webinar on 4/18

Across the OCHIN Collaborative, members are leading the fight for increased prevention, prescribing practices and treatment of opioid use disorders. OCHIN member Santa Cruz County Health Services Agency  is at the forefront of using workflows within the EHR to implement Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT).

On April 18, the team at Santa Cruz County will share their story of tackling the ongoing opioid crisis in a county health system on an upcoming national webinar through Health Information Technology, Evaluation, and Quality Center (HITEQ), a national cooperative agreement with HRSA.  The Santa Cruz County team joins other community health centers to talk about a variety of HIT practices and tools in opioid use disorders focused on workflows, prescription drug monitoring programs (PDMPs), alternative pain management, and MAT. Expect highlights around structures and workflows in the OCHIN Epic EHR from the Santa Cruz team.

OCHIN members interested in implementing tools or workflows support, should reach out to their account manager.
