Program Manager – Interoperability and Health Information Exchange
Ben Pierson, Program Manager for Interoperability and Health Information Exchange, has been with OCHIN since 2011. Initially responsible for project managing EHR implementations and the development of new interfaces between disparate healthcare systems, he now works to enhance interoperability throughout the OCHIN collaborative of community health centers across the nation, in order to improve their patients’ lives. Ben received his Bachelors of Science in both Communication from Oregon State University, and Public Health from Linfield College. When he’s not trying to find better ways to facilitate patient care through data exchange, Ben spends his time hiking the area around his hometown of Portland, Oregon, and watching every soccer game he can find.
